Dr. Silverman grew up in the Five Towns. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center in 1989 and his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1994. He did a two-year clinical research fellowship at the New York University Skin and Cancer Hospital. During this time he authored and co-authored 17 original publications on malignant melanoma and basal cell carcinoma, and presented his research at national and international conferences.
Dr. Silverman is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Dermatology. His special interest is in melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, and he enjoys laser therapy and general dermatology.
