Photodynamic Therapy / Blue Light
Targeted treatment for precancers.
Photodynamic therapy treats minimally to moderately thick actinic keratoses of the face and scalp. Topical Levulan is applied and absorbed for about 45 minutes, followed by 10–15 minutes under blue light. Treated areas must be kept out of sun and bright light for 48 hours.
